Math online tutoring,
Math videos and
Everything Math

Hello, my name is Anirban and this website is about Math online tutoring, something I have been doing since 2008. If you are new to the idea of live tutoring sessions over the internet, watch this video as I wait

Over the years, I've extensively worked with elementary and middle school kids from many different countries. For high school kids, the focus has primarily been (but not limited to) Algebra and SAT prep.

Whether you are a parent or a student or a school representative, no matter which part of the world you come from, online tutoring has something for you.

 For Parents

If your child’s math grades are falling, s/he either needs a better understanding of the basics or simply needs more frequent practice.

On the other hand, if your child is ahead of his/her mates in math, s/he should be encouraged to go to the next level – take an AP test or participate in a math contest or just practice more challenging stuff.

In either case, if you don’t have access to a quality math tutor (or cannot afford such a service on a regular basis), consider consulting a math online tutor.

 For Students

If you get a decent dose of math homework throughout the school year and you need frequent help to turn them in but there’s no help available, try contacting an online tutor.

Even if you cannot participate in live tutoring sessions, you can still get help.

 For School Representatives

Not all kids have the ability to learn in a big classroom environment (reason why some schools arrange for after school lessons). If you plan to encourage and engage more students to get help on specific areas, consider online tutoring in small groups or one-on-one sessions.

Following is a portion of one of my math online lessons. Watch how we discuss the fundamental counting principle. The best thing for me is that the student seems to have enjoyed her lesson.

From the student's point of view, there are several ways to get help from this website. Here's a snapshot of what's on offer. Pick the one(s) that apply to you.

 Live online tutoring

Like the student in the video above, you can 'meet' with me online and get personalized help on those math topics that YOU find difficult to understand. We can talk, write, draw, share assignments and pages from your book - be able to do pretty much everything you could imagine doing if a tutor were to sit right next to you. Here's how.

 Math Videos

The math videos section is for self learners. Sit back and watch as I explain different math ideas on Pre Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, test prep and more.

 Math homework help

If you are not doing live sessions with me - for whatever reason - you can still get help with your math homework that's due for submission. The  math homework help section explains how.

 SAT Prep

Much of your future life depends on the quality of education and grooming you receive as a student...and the quality of education to a large extent depends on the college you go to. There's a good chance that the college of your choice will look into your SAT score. This section has loads of stuff, including tricks and tips to do well on the math sections of the SAT. Your are also welcome to contact me for private SAT coaching.

 Math word problems

When it comes to word problems, it's easy to be lost in the jugglery of words and the bunch of information they provide. Hopefully I can help you become more confident in this area. The key is to practice. Remember, "Rome wasn't built in a day." Let's get started.

 Mental Math

If you are preparing for a test that doesn't allow using calculators or if you want to be a magician with math - to impress friends and family - this section is for you.

What are you waiting for? Just click on any of the links below and let's get started.

Play audio to listen in to a brief introduction about this website

"My son was very frustrated in math. He was really falling behind and he had developed quite a negative attitude towards his math. As a last resort, we decided to try a tutor. I was a little skeptical however, we are very pleased! I wish we would have called Anirban a lot sooner. Anirban is so patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I love how he goes through my son's math assignments and teaches him all the basics that he sees my son is missing in order to properly complete his homework. My son's math mark has improved dramatically and we only started with Anirban at the beginning of my son's 7th grade year. Most importantly, my son has started to enjoy math and I've heard from his teacher that he is participating in class and is very proud to share what he has learned from Anirban during his math tutoring sessions. Thank you Aniban, my son's grade went from a C to a solid A and he was just accepted to an elite boarding school in the east coast."
